Thank You for a Beautiful Valentine's Morning

What a wonderful morning we had.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me for our Valentine’s Morning Movement & Mingle. It was so lovely to see familiar faces, welcome new ones, and then actually have time to slow down and chat afterwards — without anyone rushing off.

The class energy was fantastic, and the mingle afterwards was exactly what I’d hoped for. The mint choc protein balls and blueberry protein muffins clearly went down well (always a relief when you’re testing recipes on your own class).

The Best Part? The Conversations.

I absolutely loved hearing your feedback, comments and suggestions.

It’s so important to me that you leave class not only feeling like you’ve moved well, but also feeling more confident about:

  • Managing those everyday aches and pains

  • Understanding how strength and mobility support you long-term

  • Making healthier, realistic nutrition choices

  • Feeling reassured about menopause and midlife changes

If you went home with even one new idea or insight that helps you feel more in control of your body, then that makes me very happy.

A Brilliant Suggestion…

One idea that came up (and I have to say, I love it!) was this: As much as you enjoy trying my protein recipes… you’d also quite like me to make some for you to purchase too!

Well now. That has certainly given me something to think about this week.

I’m going to look at:

  • The best way to deliver it

  • Practicalities

  • Pricing

  • How we keep it fresh and homemade

I’ll update you as soon as I’ve explored it properly. Watch this space…

Let’s Do This More Often

Another suggestion was to make the “mingle” part a more regular thing — and I’m very happy about that.

We’re all so busy rushing from one commitment to the next that true “me time” — and genuine conversation — often gets squeezed out. Creating space to:

  • Ask questions

  • Share ideas

  • Talk openly

  • Connect without pressure

… feels important. So yes, we will absolutely do this again.

The Recipe You’ve Been Waiting For…

I’ve already started compiling my protein recipe book (of course I have! 😄), but for those who asked — here’s the first one:

🌿 Mint Choc Protein Balls

(My favourite… and I think I’ve finally mastered the mint balance!)

Makes 14 balls - 81 calories per ball 9g carbs | 5g protein | 3g healthy fats | 2g fibre

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops whey protein

  • 6 Medjool dates

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp linseeds

  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

  • 50g ground almonds

  • 50g dark chocolate nibs or callets (minimum 70% cocoa)

Method:

  1. Blitz the chocolate nibs briefly first so they break into smaller pieces.

  2. Blend all other ingredients together.

  3. Combine everything and add a little water until the mixture comes together.

  4. Roll into 14 balls.

If you don’t want to roll them in desiccated coconut, make sure the mixture is slightly firmer so they hold their shape nicely.

No baking. Very simple. Very satisfying.

Thank you again for coming along, for bringing friends, for staying to chat, and for being part of such a supportive community.

It was such a lovely way to start the weekend — and Valentine’s weekend at that.

More recipes coming soon… 💚
